What’s On at The Pop Up

A bright new store has appeared on Central Street for the month of June at Queenstown Central. The Pop Up store will be home to a creative exhibition taking a retrospective look at the evolution of Queenstown’s LUMA festival. The space celebrates young creative minds, playing host to FREE kids art workshops every weekend throughout June including Queens Birthday Weekend and Matariki Weekend.

LUMA – Retrospective Gallery
June 2022

Opening Friday 3 June at The Pop Up (and available to view at select times for the month of June) is the LUMA Retrospective Gallery.

The gallery features three installations: the 2021 LUMA Schools Project: ‘Ovals of Enlightenment”,  ‘Breathe’ by SILO (creative engine behind the LUMA festival) and stunning photography – by local photographer Leigh Jeffery captured from the past five years of LUMA.

The Gallery has a focus on creativity and wellbeing and encourages visitors to take a moment to reflect, relax and breathe.
