The Pavilion Bar & Kitchen wins Gold at the 2026 Commercial Project Awards
We’re incredibly proud to share that Queenstown Central, in partnership with Cook Brothers Construction, has been recognised at the 2026 New Zealand Commercial Project Awards in Auckland – taking home Gold for our hospitality hub, The Pavilion Bar & Kitchens in the Retail Category.
Located in the heart of Queenstown Central, The Pavilion Bar & Kitchens is a standout hospitality destination designed to bring people together through food, atmosphere, and shared experiences. Spanning approximately 890m², the space blends bold architectural form with thoughtful detailing, creating a venue that is both functional and visually striking.
Key design features include:
- A distinctive exterior combining acid-washed corrugated cladding with Australian hardwood, creating a contemporary, barn-inspired aesthetic
- A layered interior featuring polished concrete floors, exposed beams and bespoke finishes
- Statement suspended gas fireplaces and Timaru bluestone rock centrepieces, creating warmth and a strong sense of place
- A multi-level layout with indoor and outdoor dining spaces that flow seamlessly together
The result is a bold, contemporary space grounded in Central Otago character.
