Local Success Story: xtravel Wins National Travel Industry Award

We’re proud to celebrate one of our incredible Queenstown Central tenants, xtravel, who has just been recognised on the national stage – taking out Travel Broker Business of the Year at the 2026 National Travel Industry Awards. Held in Auckland, these prestigious awards bring together the best in the business to celebrate excellence, resilience, and innovation across New Zealand’s travel industry.
A Big Win for a Local Business
Based right here in Queenstown, xtravel continues to make waves nationally, after being named a finalist across four major categories:
- Travel Broker Business of the Year
- Community Connection of the Year
- Local Marketing Campaign of the Year
- Customer Advocacy of the Year
Their standout performance was topped off with the top honour in their category, alongside a Highly Commended Customer Advocacy award for co-owner Tori Keating.
Built on Care, Connection and Expertise
Founded nearly a decade ago by Tori Keating and Niki Davies, xtravel has grown from a small team of three to a thriving business of 15 – without losing sight of what matters most: personalised service, meaningful connections, and genuine care for their clients. Their team is known for going above and beyond, offering tailored travel experiences while supporting both their customers and the wider travel community.
As Tori Keating shared:
“In an industry that continues to face global disruption and change, awards like these matter, they give us a chance to celebrate the people behind the bookings — the problem-solvers, advocates, advisors, and industry partners who keep travel moving.”
