Queenstown Hill / Basket of Dreams
Distance/Time: 5 km. 2-3 hours return.
One of the most iconic walks in Queenstown is the Queenstown Hill Time Walk. This moderate hike rewards adventurers with panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding Remarkables mountain range. As you ascend through beech forests and alpine meadows, enjoy the watching the vista of the Southern Alps unfolds as you climb to the top and the “Basket of Dreams Sculpture”

Ben Lomond Track
Distance/Time: 5 km. 6-8 hours return (for the full summit).
For the more adventurous hiker, the Ben Lomond Track beckons with its more challenging up-hill terrain and unparalleled 360 views. Ascend to the summit of Ben Lomond and be rewarded with sweeping panoramas of Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu, and the surrounding peaks.

Lake Hayes
Distance/Time: 8km, 2-3 hours (loop).
The Lake Hayes Circuit offers a scenic loop around the tranquil waters of Lake Hayes, just a short drive from Queenstown. Surrounded by rolling hills and snow-capped peaks, this easy-grade track offers breathtaking vistas at every turn, making it a popular choice for families and photographers alike.

Sawpit Gully
Distance/Time: 7.9 km, 2-3 hours (loop).
Another walk to get your “puff” on is the Sawpit Gully Loop Track, this hidden gem begins at the Arrowtown River, meanders through picturesque forest, before a steady climb to the gully for breath-taking views.

Queenstown Gardens
Distance/Time: 2 km, 30 minutes (loop).
For those seeking a leisurely stroll, the Queenstown Gardens provide a serene escape in the heart of the town. Wander along the lakeside paths, admire the vibrant floral displays, and pause to marvel at the picturesque rose gardens. With views of the Remarkables and the tranquil waters of Lake Wakatipu, it’s a perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon stroll or a romantic sunset walk.

Arrowtown River
Distance/Time: 4.2km, 1 hour (loop).
The Arrowtown River Walk offers a serene escape along the banks of the Arrow River. Amble beneath towering trees, accompanied by the soothing melody of flowing waters in the riverside. On a hot summers day brave a toe or a splash in the water
